The Beginnings

It all began with a simple idea. In 1994, the founders, experienced retail professionals, attended EuroShop and recognized its potential as a global hub for innovation. While the event provided valuable opportunities to explore the latest in materials, technology, and design, navigating its vast exhibit halls and making connections proved challenging. With hotels spread across surrounding cities, North American attendees lacked a central place to gather and network after hours.

The solution came on the back of a napkin: secure a block of rooms at a central hotel, create a casual agenda, and invite a small group to experience the event together. In 2005, the first euro a go go took place with 23 guests in Essen. By 2008, the programme expanded to Düsseldorf, drawing nearly 60 attendees with a more detailed schedule.

What started as a straightforward vision has evolved into a one-of-a-kind experience that promotes inspiration, connection, and community within the retail industry.
