From the Classroom to the Global Retail Stage

Share this article:

At euro a go go, we believe the future of retail is shaped by the ideas, creativity and energy of the next generation. Supporting emerging talent and creating opportunities for the industry to learn, connect and be inspired has always been part of what we do.

That’s why, in partnership with PAVE Global, we created the Retail Design Experience Award, an opportunity to take a talented emerging designer beyond the classroom and immerse them in the people, places and possibilities shaping the global retail landscape.

The winning student receives a fully sponsored, five-day immersive euro a go go experience at EuroShop in Düsseldorf, the world’s No. 1 retail trade fair. The experience provides a front-row seat to the global retail industry, with opportunities to explore the show, discover innovative retail environments, connect with industry professionals and experience Düsseldorf through curated retail, design and cultural tours.

The experience also includes a unique mentorship opportunity, with time spent alongside our esteemed judges and other retail community leaders throughout the euro a go go programme and itinerary.

Sheridan College Interior Design student Jenny Bae Huggon was our 2026 Retail Design Experience Award recipient. Her five-day journey took her beyond the classroom and onto the global retail stage, from exploring the EuroShop show floor and discovering innovative retail environments to joining curated tours and connecting with industry professionals along the way.

It was an opportunity to see, experience and engage with the industry from a whole new perspective, and that’s exactly what the Retail Design Experience is all about: opening doors, creating connections and giving emerging talent a seat at the table.

PAVE Global captured Jenny’s experience and reflections, sharing her perspective on stepping into the world of retail design and experiencing EuroShop through the lens of euro a go go.
